The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a series of events and activities to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of FKG USU. With the theme "FKG Growing, Uniting, and Resilient: Transformation Towards Ultimate," the hope is to develop and advance FKG USU. One of the activities is a Dentistcast podcast, the Dentistry Podcast.
Dentists will be held in four episodes, with different speakers in each episode. The first episode was held on October 9, 2021, discussing Kortugi (@korbantukanggigi) and resource person drg. Rifqie Al Haris. Drg. Rifqie Al Haris is one of the founders and content creators of the Kortugi account, an Instagram social media account that focuses on oral health education and combating the practices of dentists, fake dentists, and people who are not competent in dentistry. The Kortugi account has 150 thousand followers and aims to raise public awareness about the dangers of unlicensed practices in dentistry.
Drg. Rifqie, born in Yogyakarta on March 13, 1985, graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, in 2010 and now lives in Yogyakarta. He is interested in oral health education, digital marketing, content writing, graphic design, and social media activities.
Dentistcast was created to become a forum for FKG USU to provide valid and quality information and education in a more current way, with a broader impact that reaches all levels of society, not just dentistry students. With the Denticast, it is hoped that all listeners will benefit from every chat and discussion with the speakers, can absorb the knowledge provided to the maximum, and can apply the positive points of each conversation. It is hoped that this activity will not only appear during the anniversary but also be implemented into a program or activity that is routinely carried out in the future.
