Multipurpose Laboratory

The Multipurpose Laboratory supports students in academic activities, including practical sessions and skills labs. It is equipped with phantom heads that simulate real oral cavity conditions, allowing students to work as they would when treating actual patients.

The Dental Business and Industry Unit (UJI) Laboratory

The Dental Business and Industry Unit (UJI) Laboratory at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG-USU) was initially proposed as a community service program titled "Dental Laboratory Service Business" through the Multi-Year Program of the DP2M Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education. The creation of this community service proposal began with training held in collaboration between the Research and Community Service Institute of USU (LPPM USU) and DP2M Ditjen Dikti Depdiknas on February 18-19, 2002. This program received approval from DP2M on January 21, 2003, No. UJI/00/02/001, and began operations in August 2003. The Dental Business and Industry Unit (UJI) Laboratory of FKG-USU was officially inaugurated by the USU rector on May 6, 2004. This unit specializes in producing dental laboratory services, training technicians, and providing case consultations for dentists in Medan, particularly in Sumatra.
