FKGUSU, 13/9- The Faculty of Dentistry (F.K.G.) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is pleased to announce the implementation of a workshop themed “MCQ Item Development” which was attended by all FKG USU teaching staff. This event aims to improve the quality of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) based question development used in learning.

In this workshop, FKG USU presented prominent speakers in dentistryitem development, namely Prof. drg. Drglinda Z Tamin, M. Kes. Sp.Pros(K). She is a professor at FKG USU who is full of experience and has significantly contributed to developing evaluation methods in dental education. In addition, establishe establishedustrial Services Unit Laboratory of the USU ECG was her work.

In addition, this event was also assisted by facilitators who are experts in their fields, including:

2. drg. Aini Hariyani Nasution, Sp.Perio, Subsp.RPID(K)
3. drg. Ariyani, M.DSc., Sp.Pros, Subsp.CPDI(K)
4. drg. Hendry Rusdy, M.Kes., Sp.BMM., Subsp. C.O.M. (K)
5. drg. Kholidina Imanda Harahap, M.DSc.

This workshop will cover various important aspects of MCQ item development, including effective item writing techniques, item analysis, and test evaluation strategies. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to understand these concepts in depth and share experiences with fellow faculty members.

Dean of USU's Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA, Subsp.PKOA(K), gave the opening remarks at this event. She expressed the importance of developing quality questions in improving the learning process at FKG USU and emphasized the faculty's commitment to continuously improve the quality of dental education. Besides, it is a tough job for all of us considering that in undergoing UMP2DG we want the graduation rate for our children to increase to 100% and we must achieve this.

This MCQ Item Development Workshop is expected to provide great benefits for the USU ECG teaching staff in improving their skills in developing evaluation questions. This will have a positive impact on students' learning experience and help FKG USU continue to be one of the best dental faculties in Indonesia.
