This meeting provided a forum to discuss potential collaboration that can be developed based on the competencies, resources, and needs of each institution. Discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in delivering educational programs, joint research, community service, and academic development initiatives beneficial to lecturers, students, educational staff, and the wider public.

In the field of education, the explored cooperation is expected to create opportunities for lecturers and students to expand scientific horizons, enhance competencies, and gain more diverse learning experiences through relevant academic activities and practice. The synergy between educational institutions and healthcare service facilities also holds potential to support practice-based learning, in line with agreed scientific fields and scopes of cooperation.
In research, inter-institutional collaboration is anticipated to foster joint research projects, knowledge exchange, and the utilization of available expertise and facilities to support research activities. Through this partnership, both institutions have the opportunity to advance research that is relevant to community needs and scientific progress, particularly in health sciences.

Meanwhile, in community service, this cooperation is expected to serve as a foundation for implementing health promotion and preventive programs, health education, and service activities aligned with each institution's competencies. Such collaboration can be directed toward raising public awareness about health maintenance while expanding the contribution of higher education in improving community quality of life.
The involvement of RSGM USU in this meeting further strengthens the potential synergy between academic education and healthcare service provision. As a dental and oral healthcare facility, RSGM USU plays a strategic role in supporting clinical learning, competency development, and service quality enhancement. Therefore, exploring this cooperation is expected to open avenues for mutually supportive initiatives across education, research, and healthcare services.
From a sustainable development perspective, this cooperative initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations (UN). Specifically, this activity supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being through potential developments in health education, health promotion and prevention activities, and the enhancement of public healthcare service quality.
Furthermore, this initiative aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education by expanding learning opportunities, upgrading human resource competencies, and fostering quality education that is responsive to societal needs. The exchange of knowledge and experience between institutions is expected to enrich the learning process while supporting the development of competent and professional graduates.
This cooperation is also closely connected to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which highlights the importance of cross-institutional partnerships in achieving sustainable development goals. Through synergy between FKG USU, RSGM USU, and STIKes Flora, it is hoped that a mutually reinforcing collaboration will be established in resource utilization, capacity building, and the execution of educational and health programs that yield positive societal impacts.

The Dean of FKG USU and the attending leadership welcomed this exploratory meeting as a step forward in expanding partnership networks and elevating the institution's contributions toward the Tridharma of Higher Education. Structured and sustainable collaboration is expected to provide added value to all parties involved, both in academic development and in improving healthcare service delivery.
Through this meeting, FKG USU, RSGM USU, and STIKes Flora are expected to follow up on the various collaboration opportunities discussed by translating them into concrete, measurable, and sustainable joint action plans. This inter-institutional synergy forms part of a collective effort to realize quality education, advance scientific knowledge, and strengthen community-oriented healthcare services.
