A cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), and Haji Medan General Hospital was signed on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Haji Medan General Hospital. The signing was represented by the Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA, and the Director of Haji Medan General Hospital, dr. Rehulina Ginting, M.Kes. Both parties agreed that Haji Medan General Hospital would be designated as an Educational Hospital for students of the Dental Education and Profession Study Program (PSPPDG) and the Dental Specialist Education Program (PPDGS). This Cooperation Agreement is intended to enhance cooperation between the two parties in advancing and developing dental education and coordinating education for PSPPDG, PPDGS, Master's, and Doctoral students.
The purpose of this Cooperation Agreement is to improve the quality and quantity of human resources in the field of dentistry, especially for PSPPDG, PPDGS, Master's, and Doctoral students; to create independence for PSPPDG and PPDGS students who carry out professional education to provide community health services, and to prepare PSPPDG and PPDGS students to be able to apply their knowledge in the community. In addition to supporting dental education activities, this cooperation includes implementing research and community service activities as stipulated in the cooperation agreement document. This cooperation lasts two years, effective from the date both parties sign the agreement.
