Specialist Dental Education Program

The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Specialist Program in Orthodontics is a specialized study program focusing on dental science research on growth and development disorders of the teeth and face (dental and craniofacial) from childhood to adulthood. Established in 1965, the Specialist Program in Orthodontics consists of several courses, such as Diagnosis, Planning, and Patient Management, that require multidisciplinary treatment, such as cleft lip and palate and herbs in Orthodontics.

Hello, my name is Dr. Kiki Andreas, Sp.Ort. I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), from the Specialist Program in Orthodontics. I am currently practicing in South Jakarta, where I run my clinic named Senopati Dentalos, which is located in the Senopati area.

My impression of studying at FKG USU was that it was a family-like environment. There was hardly any distance between us and the lecturers—we often addressed them as if they were our parents, “mother” or “father.” This made discussing clinical cases and learning new knowledge a delightful experience. I am truly grateful and proud to be part of FKG USU, especially in the field of Orthodontics.

Hello, everyone. My name is drg. Dewi Salsalita, Sp.KG. I am from the 7th cohort of FKG USU. I currently work at a major clinic in Jakarta and own a private clinic in BSD, South Tangerang.

My impression during my time in the Specialist Program in Orthodontics at FKG USU is that highly qualified lecturers support the program. The knowledge I gained was up-to-date, allowing me to apply it directly when treating my patients.
