FKG USU, 11/11 - The Specialist Program in Prosthodontics of the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) invited Assoc Prof. Dr. Ros Anita Binti Omar from the University Malaya, Malaysia. This event took place on November 11, 2023, in the Nazir Alwi Room, FKG USU, which was moderated by the Head of the Specialist Program in Prosthodontics drg. Ricca Chairunnisa Sp.Pros, Subsp. OGST (K). This activity became the 2nd of a total of 5 similar activities to be carried out.

This guest lecture is part of the World Class University Guest Lecture program designed to support dental education and increase internationalization for students. By presenting speakers from abroad, FKG USU strives to provide broader and deeper insights to its students and academic staff. Assoc Prof. Dr. Ros Anita Binti Omar, from the University Malaya, Malaysia, is an expert in Restorative Dentistry. She presented material related to “Problems with free end saddle and how to solve” and shared her experience and knowledge to the guest lecture participants.

This activity is not only a place to increase student knowledge but also a means to expand the cooperation network between FKG USU and international higher education institutions. The success of this event also aligns with other major activities at the USU Faculty of Dentistry, namely the 9th RDM&E - IDCSU 2023.

The Head of the Department stated, “We are very pleased to be able to organize this activity as part of our efforts to continue improving the quality of education and present international-quality speakers. Hopefully, through this activity, students will gain inspiration and new insights useful for their future.”

The guest lecture was attended by students, lecturers, and education staff of the Faculty of Dentistry USU. All parties hope this activity can be the first step in further deepening collaboration between higher education institutions and improving the quality of dental education at the global level.
