The Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU) once again celebrates a proud academic achievement by one of its distinguished lecturers, Drg. Ariyani, M.DSc., Sp.Pros, Subsp.PKIKG(K). In an international scientific forum, Drg. Ariyani secured Third Place in the E-Poster Presentation category. Her research presentation was titled: “Antifungal Activity of Origanum vulgare Essential Oil Extracted by Steam Distillation Against Candida albicans”

 

Participants from various higher education institutions and research organizations attended the competition, making it a prestigious platform for academics to showcase their cutting-edge research. Drg. Ariyani's achievement proves that FKG USU can compete globally in dental research.

This success is not only a personal milestone but also reflects Drg. Ariyani’s dedication to advancing scientific knowledge and contributing to research development at FKG USU. Her accomplishment inspires the academic community to continue innovating and asserting FKG USU’s academic presence internationally.

 

Vice Dean I of FKG USU, Dr. Drg. Olivia Avriyanti Hanafiah, Sp.B.M.M., Subsp.C.O.M.(K), expressed her appreciation for the achievement. "We are proud of Drg. Ariyani’s success. It shows that FKG USU lecturers excel not only in education and clinical service but are also actively contributing to globally recognized research," she said. FKG USU continues to encourage and support its faculty members' participation in scientific activities at both national and international levels as part of its ongoing efforts to elevate academic reputation and strengthen a culture of research on campus.
