The Faculty of Dentistry, UGM, had the honor of hosting the consortium at this signing. The event occurred in the 2nd-floor meeting room of the OECF Building, Faculty of Dentistry, UGM. To maintain health protocols, this event was conducted in a hybrid manner. This activity is hoped to increase collaboration and support the creation of innovations in dentistry as a form of implementation of the tri dharma of higher education.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, UGM, drg. Suryono, SH., MM., Ph.D, said that holding this consortium is a wise step that can be taken as a response to external world changes to build national independence. Through this activity, the six faculties of dentistry agreed to cooperate in implementing Indonesian dental subspecialty programs. "Together, each Faculty of Dentistry present today will collaborate and complement each other," he added.

Furthermore, the Chairperson of the Consortium of Dental Faculties, Dr. drg. Agung Sosiawan, M.Kes. appreciated this activity as a form of concern from 6 State Universities in Indonesia to anticipate the future of the ASEAN Economic Community. The agreement reached can contribute to the development of the tri-dharma education of higher education. "Although it is not easy, but with this agreement, we can realize what has been agreed upon together," he explained.

The purpose of this consortium was strengthened by the speech of Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D, Sp.BM (K) in response to the demographic bonus in 2030 in Indonesia. Seeing the current situation, specialist and subspecialist dentists in the community are greatly needed.
