Three lecturers from the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), were invited to serve as guest lecturers at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). These esteemed educators are Dr. drg. Pitu Wulandari, S.Psi., Sp.Perio, Subsp.MP(K), Drg. Dennis, Sp.KG, Subsp.KE(K), MDSc, and Dr. drg. Erliera, Sp.Ort., Subsp.DDTK(K).
The trio will teach and share their expertise on various topics related to dentistry at UKM as part of an international collaboration between FKG USU and UKM's Faculty of Dentistry, which has been established over several years.
Drg. Dennis, Sp.KG, Subsp.KE(K), MDSc, expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, "I am thrilled to share my knowledge and experience with the students at UKM. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden academic horizons and strengthen ties between our universities."
The Vice Dean III of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Pitu Wulandari, S.Psi., Sp.Perio, Subsp.MP(K), also expressed her joy over this initiative. "This is concrete evidence that FKG USU has highly competent human resources recognized internationally. We hope this collaboration continues to flourish, providing opportunities for more lecturers and students to benefit," said Dr. Pitu.
UKM warmly welcomed the visiting lecturers. Prof. Madya Dr. Shahida Binti Mohd Said, a UKM Faculty of Dentistry faculty member, remarked, "We are incredibly fortunate to collaborate with such high-caliber lecturers from FKG USU. This will be an invaluable experience for our students and academic staff."
These three guest lecturers from FKG USU are expected to strengthen academic ties between the two universities, complement ongoing joint projects, and enhance the quality of dental education in Southeast Asia.
