A vibrant atmosphere filled with joy and unity embraced the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), during its 63rd Anniversary celebration. This historic moment was marked by activities that entertained and strengthened the bonds among the academic community, alumni, partners, and the general public.
One of the main highlights of the celebration was a creative bazaar featuring 35 tenants. The booths were contributed by students, all 10 departments within FKG USU, local MSMEs, lecturers, USU staff, and external partners. A wide range of products was offered—from traditional culinary treats and handmade crafts to clothing, dental health services, and educational booths—turning the bazaar into a colorful hub of interaction.
The participation of diverse groups reflected FKG USU’s spirit of collaboration and social responsibility in empowering the local economy and fostering community synergy within the university environment.
Beyond economic and educational aspects, the celebration was also enlivened by captivating cultural performances. FKG USU students and lecturers showcased solo vocals, traditional dances, and other creative acts that impressed attendees.
These performances served as entertainment and an expression of cultural spirit, solidarity, and growing unity between the younger generation and educators. The creativity on display proved that FKG USU excels in academics and professionalism and in nurturing artistic and cultural potential.
The 63rd Dies Natalis celebration was a festivity and a reflective moment on FKG USU’s long journey in producing high-quality dental health professionals for the nation. Amid ever-evolving challenges, FKG USU continues to innovate and transform toward becoming a world-class dental education institution.
The celebration, which carried the theme of togetherness, collaboration, and positive spirit, reminded the FKG USU family of the importance of harmony, continuous contribution, and adaptability for collective progress.
