A series of events at the 15th National Scientific Meeting of Pediatric Dentistry (PIN IKGA) has been conducted virtually since Wednesday, March 9, 2022. The final day of the PIN IKGA event included a community service activity held online on Sunday, March 13, 2022. The theme of this community service activity was "Improving Children's Quality of Life by Enhancing Oral Health." This activity comprised educational seminars and consultation sessions, where Dr. Essie Octiara, drg., Sp.KGA served as a speaker in the academic symposium.
The organizing team, represented by drg. Zulfi Amalia, MDSc, explained that the target audience for the educational seminars included mothers from the Down Syndrome Parents Association and the Cerebral Palsy Parents Association communities. Additionally, schools such as Namira Islamic School and Sekolah Siti Hajar involved parents of students in online consultations with specialist pediatric dentists. The Mother's Community of Adhyaksa Dharmasraya West Sumatra was also invited to participate in the 15th PIN IKGA community service activity.
