The atmosphere of the Nazir Alwi room of the USU Faculty of Dentistry was filled with enthusiasm and the spirit of collaboration during the signing of the collaboration between the USU Faculty of Dentistry and the UHT Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. R.A. Nora Lelyana, drg., M.H.Kes., FICD, as the Dean of FKG UHT, took the time to attend during her busy schedule in Medan.
Dr. R.A. Nora Lelyana's presence itself marks a strong commitment from FKG UHT in establishing substantial cooperation. As a leader, she emphasized the importance of cross-institutional cooperation in facing global dynamics and challenges in dentistry and most importantly in meeting the needs of IKU and WCU.
The signing ceremony was made more memorable by the direct presence of the Dean of the USU Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA, Subsp.PKOA (K), as well as Vice Dean I, Vice Dean III, Head of PSPPDG, and Head of Subdivision in FKG USU. Their presence signifies FKG USU's full commitment to carrying out this collaboration wholeheartedly.
In her speech, Dr. R.A. Nora Lelyana highlighted the importance of cross-institutional cooperation in improving the quality of education, research, and community service in the field of dentistry. "This collaboration is not just the signing of documents, but the beginning of a sustainable collaboration to produce innovations and real contributions in the world of dentistry," she said
Meanwhile, the Dean of USU's Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA, Subsp.PKOA(K), welcomed this collaboration as a strategic step for both institutions. "We believe that this collaboration will bring great benefits to students, educators, and the community at large," she said confidently.
The cooperation between the Faculty of Dentistry of USU and the Faculty of Dentistry of Universitas Hang Tua covers various aspects, ranging from student and lecturer exchanges and joint research to the development of higher-quality dental education programs.
In a hopeful atmosphere, the two deans signed the cooperation document before witnesses and invitees. Their signatures signify a commitment to jointly carry out the important agendas that have been agreed upon.
