The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU) successfully held a socialization event entitled “Golden Strategy Towards PIMNAS 37: Optimizing Innovation, Research, and Presentation to Win Medals” on Sunday, 29 September 2024. The event at the Nazir Alwi Hall, FKG USU aimed to provide strategic insights for students facing the 37th National Student Science Week (PIMNAS).
This activity received high enthusiasm from the participants, both students and supervisors. The main topic raised was the assessment strategy in PIMNAS and an in-depth understanding of the aspects that focus the jury's attention. Participants are expected to understand and apply the tips to optimize innovation, research, and presentation skills to achieve maximum results at the national event.
On this occasion, FKG USU invited the main speaker, Mr. Aswin Baharuddin, S.I.P., M.A., from Universitas Hasanuddin, known for his experience and competence in PIMNAS judging. In the discussion session, he provided practical insights on judging standards and how students can prepare a strong presentation that captivates the judges.
Dean of USU's Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA, Subsp.PKOA(K), expressed her appreciation for the active participation of all parties in this event. “We hope this socialization can motivate students to excel in PIMNAS and make FKG USU proud nationally. Hopefully, we can all achieve brilliant results with careful preparation,” he said.
With a collaborative spirit and support from lecturers and expert resource persons, FKG USU is optimistic that preparations for PIMNAS 37 can run optimally and make a real contribution to the development of innovation and student research in dentistry.
