Medan, August 22, 2026 — The PPDGS Periodontics Study Program, Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), held an Alumni Talk featuring drg. Andrew, Sp.Perio, who delivered a presentation entitled “Sinus Lifting as a Preliminary Treatment for Implants in the Posterior Maxillary Alveolar Region.”
Through this activity, the PPDGS Periodontics Study Program, FKG USU, reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality of education and promoting the advancement and sustainability of scientific knowledge.
The event also reflected the program’s commitment to supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, particularly by improving the quality of oral and dental healthcare services through outstanding specialist competencies. It also supported SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting high-quality education through continuous learning with practitioners and alumni.
The event further strengthened collaboration between the academic community and alumni in supporting the achievement of Universitas Sumatera Utara’s Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (IKU PTN), particularly IKU 4, which encourages the involvement of alumni and expert practitioners in sharing their clinical experience and academic expertise directly within the university environment.
Through this Alumni Talk, the program is expected to strengthen networks and relationships between alumni and students, encourage enthusiasm for the latest clinical research, and continuously improve the standards of healthcare services for the wider community.
