Medan, 9/11 - An evening full of warmth and togetherness was created on November 9, 2023, at KOKI SUNDA, when the 9th RDM&E - IDCSU 2023 Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Dinner. This event aimed to strengthen the relationship between the 9th RDM&E - IDCSU FKG USU speakers and open wider collaboration opportunities in dentistry. Various influential figures, including the Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg attended the dinner. Essie Octiara, SP.KGA, Subsp.PKOA(K); Professor of FKG USU, Prof. drg. Ismet Danial Nasution Ph.D., Sp.Pros., Subsp.PKIKG(K); Chairman of the RDME Committee, drg. Ami Angela Harahap Sp.KGA.Subsp-AIBK(K)., M.Sc.; and USU's Director of Internationalization and Global Partnerships, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T.
In his remarks, USU's Director of Internationalization and Global Partnerships, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., expressed his delight at the presence of the speakers and invitees in particular. He stated, “This dinner is not only a moment to have fun but also a place to build closer synergy. Collaboration between speakers and stakeholders in the Tridarma of Higher Education field to improve the quality of education at USU.” In addition, this conversation also opens up opportunities for cooperation between the universities present.
This dinner was attended by all 9th RDM&E - IDCSU 2023 resource persons such as;
1. Prof. Luc Marks, DDS, M.Sc, Ph.D, FiADH (Hon) dari University of Antwerp dan Ketua Perawatan Khusus di bidang Kedokteran Gigi di Departemen Bedah Maksilofasial Rumah Sakit Universitas Antwerp, Belgia.
2. Ramesh Balasubramania, OAM dari The University of Western Australia
3. Min-Suk Heo, DDS, MSD, Ph.D dari Departemen Radiologi Mulut dan Maksilofasial, Rumah Sakit Gigi Universitas Nasional Seoul, Seoul, Korea.
4. Pornchai Jansisyanont dari Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
5. Prof. Dr. Zamri bin Radzi dari University Malaya, Malaysia.
6. Prof. Dr. Patrick KS Tseng dari National University of Singapore dan lainnya.
Chairman of the RDME Committee, drg. Ami Angela Harahap Sp.KGA.Subsp-AIBK(K)., M.Sc., emphasized that the success of this event is inseparable from the hard work of the entire committee and the full support of various parties. “We hope that this Gala Dinner will not only be a ceremonial event, but also inspire each participant to continue to contribute to the development of dentistry,” she said.
USU's Director of Internationalization and Global Partnerships, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., added an international dimension in his speech. He stated, “Through events like this, we also want to strengthen international networks and motivate speakers and students to engage in global collaboration in dentistry.”
The 9th RDME Gala Dinner of FKG USU at KOKI SUNDA was not only the highlight of the Reunion event, but also left a deep impression on the importance of synergy and collaboration in the development of dentistry. The spirit to continue to innovate and contribute to the world of dentistry is an important note that is expected to be carried together in the future.
