Research and service are one of the pillars of the Tri Dharma activities of higher education that must be followed and implemented by a university. Therefore, these two things involve students as a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, in addition to education and teaching. The direction of a faculty's research and service must be oriented towards implementing the university's research master plan, which is expected to become a flagship of the faculty itself, in this case, the Faculty of Dentistry. One of the things that supports the direction of a research and community service can run continuously can be realized in the form of a road map. This research and community service roadmap must also be adjusted to the vision and mission of the Faculty of Dentistry. The Universitas Sumatera Utara has TALENTA (tropical science and medicine, agroindustry, local wisdom, energy (sustainable), natural resources, technology (appropriate), and arts (ethnic)), which can be used as a foundation in determining the research and community service road map for lecturers. The focus of the Faculty of Dentistry road map based on TALENTA lies in three areas: natural resources, technology (appropriate), and arts (ethnic). Lecturers as professional educators and scientists have the main task, namely transforming, developing, and disseminating their knowledge through the Tri Dharma of higher education, so that by making a road map that is guided by the vision and mission of the faculty and in line with the vision and mission of the university, it is hoped that the implementation of this road map webinar will become a foundation and direction for lecturers at the Faculty of Dentistry in conducting research and community service that is directed and sustainable.
