Following the series of written and practical examinations, a total of 68 participants proceeded to study program-level interviews with the respective heads of study programs, followed by the Faculty Leadership Interview. The final interview sessions were conducted in an orderly manner at two separate locations: Building B and the FKG USU Dean’s Meeting Room.
The participants demonstrated strong enthusiasm and preparedness, representing five specialist programs: Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Conservative Dentistry. The interview session held in the Dean’s Meeting Room was conducted directly by the Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Gema Nazri Yanti, M.Kes., accompanied by the Vice Dean I, Dr. drg. Ika Andryas, M.Sc. Meanwhile, the interview session in Building B was led by Vice Dean II, Dr. drg. Ahyar Riza, Sp.B.M.M.F., Subsp. C.O.M.F., together with Vice Dean III, Dr. drg. Aini Hariyani Nasution, Sp.Perio., Subsp. R.P.I.D.(K).
The rigorous selection process reflects FKG USU’s commitment to identifying and developing prospective specialist dentists who are highly competent, professional, and possess strong integrity. The admission process also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by contributing directly to the improvement of oral and dental healthcare services for the community, and SDG 4 (Quality Education) by demonstrating FKG USU’s commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism in higher dental medical education.
