This activity marked an important occasion and a milestone for the graduates as they embark on their professional journeys as dentists. The oath-taking ceremony represented their commitment to upholding ethics, integrity, and responsibility in their profession, while prioritizing the interests and health of the community.
The oath-taking ceremony was led by the Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Gema Nazi Yanti, M.Kes., and attended by faculty leaders, professors, department heads, heads of study programs, teaching staff, education personnel, FKG USU partners, parents, and guests.
In her remarks, the Dean of FKG USU congratulated all the newly inaugurated dentists and reminded the graduates to consistently uphold ethics and professionalism, continuously improve their competencies, and provide optimal oral and dental healthcare services to the community.
On this occasion, drg. Desy Maylana Manurung was announced as the best graduate with the highest GPA. As an expression of gratitude and a contribution to their alma mater, the newly inaugurated dentists also presented a financial contribution to support the renovation of the Nazir Alwi Hall at FKG USU.
The inauguration marked the beginning of a new journey for the 62 FKG USU dentists to dedicate the knowledge, expertise, and skills they had acquired throughout their education and make meaningful contributions to improving the oral and dental health of the community.
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this activity supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being through strengthening the role of professional healthcare workers in improving the quality of healthcare services. It also reflects SDG 4: Quality Education through the education and continuous competency development of professionals.
