FKG USU-4/11. The Opening of the Bazaar in USU Faculty of Dentistry Dies Natalis event was conducted by Dr. Essie Octiara, drg., Sp.KGA (the Dean of FKG USU) marked by the ribbon cutting ceremony. This was in FKG USU’s Parking Lot on 4 November 2022. Attending the ribbon cutting ceremony were the Head of FKG USU 61st Dies Natalis Committee Ranu Putra Armidin, drg., M.KM as well as some representatives of the teaching staff.
Attending and running the bazaar stands were the representatives of some departments and study programs of FKG USU, and not only running the stands, the representatives also decorated some of their stands with uniformed costumes representing each of their department and study program. Not only that, the stand names were also included in their creative creations, such as the stand of Master/Doctoral Study Program named their stand ‘Warung ES2 and ES3’. Furthermore, some serious dedication were also shown by adding decorations such as a scarecrow. Even though the weather turned rainy in the middle of the event, that did not stopped the stand runners to serve their customers.
Not only the students and the civitas of FKG USU attended the event, which was proven by the presence of some representative of the students from other faculties such as FISIP, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology and many others. Ifa, one of the FISIP students said “The event is good, and it has many kinds of delicious food.” She also said that the event was interesting and well-made, charming her to come again with her friends from FISIP.
Apart from the lively bazaar stands, there was also the lively stage showing some performers starting from Indah Akila singing 2 songs and made all the visitors so immersed with excitement. Furthermore, the performance from the teaching staff, Priska Utami who sang some dangdut songs immediately directed the attention of the visitors to the stage, and not only that, they were so immersed and started gathering in front of the stage to dance together. After that, a dancer’s energetic performance representing FKG USU students was as much as interesting to gain the attention from the visitors.
The bazaar stage became very interesting with the special performance from Vice-Dean II Rini Octavia Nasution, drg., S.H., M.Kes., Sp.Perio(K) singing a song from the group duo Ratu titled Makhluk Tuhan Yang Paling Seksi and Wonder Women, causing all the visitors to be immersed and to join into a chorus ignoring the falling rain.
