The inauguration ceremony for the new board of the Dharma Wanita sub-unit of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, was held on Friday, July 22, 2022, in the Nazir Alwi Room. The previous board members, including Chairperson Ny. Hunsawati M Zulkarnain and Treasurer Ny. Nina Muslim, as well as other Dharma Wanita FKG USU members and their partner, Bank Syariah Indonesia, attended the event.
The Dean of FKG USU, represented by the Vice Dean I, Dr. drg. Olivia Avriyanti Hanafiah, Sp.BM(K), delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of Dharma Wanita as a platform for members to connect and foster relationships.
The outgoing Chairperson, Ny. Hunsawati M Zulkarnain, expressed her hopes for a more successful tenure for the new board.
The newly appointed Chairperson, Ny. drg. Ricca Chairunnisa Hendry Rusdy, outlined the organization's primary objectives: strengthening unity among members, enhancing skills and knowledge, fostering collaborations, and promoting social responsibility. She also emphasized the importance of spiritual and moral development.
The new board has outlined several programs, including educational initiatives such as seminars on reproductive health and good parenting, economic ventures like organizing dental practitioner inaugurations and regular bazaars, and social activities such as religious gatherings and training on communication and social media etiquette.
Bank Syariah Indonesia also provided insights on economic issues during the event.
