The Faculty of Dentistry of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU) held the Inauguration & Oath of Dentists for the first period of 2024, which was held at the USU Student Center. This sacred event officially inaugurated eighty new dentists, with alumni numbers 5034 to 5113.
The event, which was full of wisdom, was attended by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Dentistry, teaching staff, and parents of the graduates. The moment of inauguration and pronunciation of the dentist's oath symbolizes the responsibility and commitment of the graduates in devoting themselves as professional medical personnel in the field of oral health.
In this event, three best graduates were honored for their academic achievements:
1. drg. Gamael Andreas Pattiradjawane - First-best graduate with a GPA of 3.95.
2. drg. Christ Angelina- Second-best graduate with a GPA of 3.87.
3. drg. Winny- Third-best graduate with a GPA of 3.87.
In addition, two graduates of FKG USU made it into the top 10 highest scorers nationally:
- drg. Rezfuazah Erwin
- drg. Naomi Amanda Hutajulu
In her welcoming speech, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Dentistry expressed pride in the graduates' achievements, especially those who did at the national level. She also hoped that these new dentists would continue to develop their competencies and make a real contribution to society.
The event was solemn and full of emotion, especially during the dentist's oath-taking procession. The graduates are now ready to take on their roles as responsible health workers, bringing new hope for public health, especially dentistry.
