FKG USU held a public lecture featuring one of the leading experts in oral surgery, Dr. Indra Mulyawan, drg, MMRS, Sp.BMM, Subsp.TMTMJ(K) from Universitas Airlangga. The activity, which took place in the Nazir Alwi Room of the USU Faculty of Dentistry, was also supported by the North Sumatra Association of Indonesian Oral Surgeons (PABMI).

Dr. Indra Mulyawan, a renowned oral surgeon, was invited to share his experience and knowledge with students and medical personnel at FKG USU. This public lecture is a valuable event for dental students and practitioners to gain in-depth insight into the latest developments in techniques and research in oral surgery.

This activity is carried out online, offline, or hybrid, targeting USU FKG students, practitioners, and alumni in the North Sumatra region.

In the discussion session, Dr. Indra Mulyawan discussed various important aspects of oral surgery, including the latest techniques, research developments, and challenges faced in daily clinical practice. This guest lecturer also shared valuable insights on effective and safe oral surgery practices for patients.

The public lecture was also enlivened by the presence of a competent moderator, drg. Isnandar Sp.B.M.M., Subsp. T.M.T.M.J(K), a Department of Oral Surgery lecturer, FKG USU. The presence of drg. Isnandar, as moderator, gave a more interactive and in-depth dimension to the discussion.

Support from the Indonesian Oral Surgeons Association (PABMI) North Sumatra also became a major pillar in the success of this event. The involvement of PABMI North Sumatra provides a positive impetus for the development of dentistry, especially in the field of oral surgery, in this region.

This public lecture is expected to provide valuable momentum for students and medical personnel at FKG USU to continue developing their knowledge and skills in oral surgery. In addition, the exchange of ideas and experiences between Dr. Indra Mulyawan and the participants is expected to provide new inspiration for facing future challenges in dental practice.
