The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), has appointed four new dental specialists on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the Nazir Alwi Hall of FKG USU, Medan. This time, three specialists from the Periodontal Specialist Study Program and one from the Prosthodontics Specialist Study Program were appointed.
The Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA led the appointment and oath-taking ceremony for the new specialists, who were accompanied by the Vice Deans for the respective departments and the Heads of the Periodontal and Prosthodontics Specialist Programs, Drg. Aini Hariyani Nasution, Sp.Perio(K) and Drg. Ricca Chairunnisa, Sp.Pros(K).
The newly appointed specialists from the Periodontology Specialist Program (PPDGS Periodonsia) include Drg. Budi, Sp.Perio, Drg. Leni Amalia, Sp.Perio, and Drg. Rio Simanjuntak, M.Kes., Sp.Perio, while from the Prosthodontics Specialist Program (PPDGS Prostodonsia), Drg. Joseph Dede Hartanta Ginting, Sp. Pros were appointed.
The chairpersons of IPERI Komda Medan and IPROSI Komda Medan, the Director of the Hospital Partnership, Professors and teaching staff of FKG USU, spiritual leaders, and the parents and families of the newly appointed specialists were also present at the ceremony.
