In an effort to strengthen friendship and cultural diplomacy, the academic community of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), paid a courtesy visit to the Consulate General of India in Medan on Monday, July 27, 2026.

The visit was represented by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Information of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Aini Hariyani Nasution, Sp.Perio, Subsp.RPID(K), accompanied by faculty members Dr. drg. Pitu Wulandari, S.Psi., Sp.Perio, Subsp.MP(K) and drg. Hendry Rusdy, M.Kes., Sp.B.M.Mf., Subsp.COMf. During the visit, the FKG USU delegation was warmly welcomed and had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Ravi Shanker Goel, a representative of the Consulate General of India in Medan.

The meeting took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere and served as an opportunity to discuss various potential positive activities that could be jointly developed within FKG USU. The meeting is expected to open opportunities for collaboration and further strengthen the friendship between the Consulate General of India in Medan and FKG USU in the future.

This courtesy visit also aligns with FKG USU's commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through strengthening international networks and cross-border relations, as well as SDG 4: Quality Education, through expanding global perspectives and experiences for the academic community.
