FKG USU students continue to achieve outstanding accomplishments, both academically and non-academically. Their latest achievement was their success in the 2023 Indonesian Health Ambassador selection.
In the most recent competition, Astri Suryani Pasaribu triumphed as "The Winner" of the 2023 Indonesian Health Ambassador, while Ismail Hutasoit earned the Indonesian Public Health Ambassador title at the same event.

Achieving such victories was no easy feat, as the competition involved over 100 highly qualified participants from various provinces, cities, and regencies across Indonesia.
The Indonesian Health Ambassador selection is an annual event featuring multiple regional and national stages, with participants from diverse backgrounds. The event is not exclusive to health students, as it often includes contestants without a healthcare background.
Despite facing challenges, Astri, affectionately called Astri, overcame her initial doubts about competing. The presence of numerous skilled competitors, many of whom had strong healthcare backgrounds, initially made her hesitant. However, this only fueled her determination to deliver her best performance, culminating in a remarkable achievement that she considers a personal triumph.
In addition to Astri’s victory, another FKG USU student, Ismail Hutasoit, also brought pride to the faculty by securing the title of Indonesian Public Health Ambassador 2023. Representing North Sumatra, Ismail, warmly known as Ismail, added to the pride of FKG USU with its impressive accomplishments.
