The event was officially opened with welcoming remarks by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. drg. Ika Andryas, M.Sc. The event was attended by faculty members, educational staff, and students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

The bazaar was attended by various groups, including students, educational staff, and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), offering a wide range of products, from food and beverages to other creative products. Beyond serving as a platform for promotion and marketing, the event also provided an opportunity to showcase innovation and foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students and the academic community. The UMKM Bazaar is expected to provide positive benefits, expand business opportunities, and inspire continued support for the development of MSMEs in the future.

The activity also strengthens the commitment of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through fostering an entrepreneurial spirit, empowering MSME actors, and encouraging productive and sustainable economic activities.

In addition, the activity supports SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production by promoting more responsible consumption and production practices, as well as increasing awareness of resource utilization and sustainable product management.

The FKG USU Entrepreneur Bazaar is also aligned with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration and partnerships among various elements within FKG USU, including departments, study programs, the academic community, and MSME actors. Such collaboration is expected to create positive synergies in supporting entrepreneurship development and generating broader benefits for society.
