The activity was opened by the Vice Dean I of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Ika Andryas, M.Sc. In her remarks, Dr. Ika Andryas explained that the students participating in the session, both in person and via Zoom, were selected students who demonstrated enthusiasm for developing their creativity and achieving accomplishments through PKM. She also emphasized that PKM has become a platform offering greater opportunities for students to develop innovative ideas.

During the presentation, drg. Kholidina Imanda Harahap, M.DSc., from the USU PKM Center team, explained strategies for developing PKM ideas with the potential to advance to the national level. She emphasized the importance of selecting ideas that align with the PKM theme, are realistic to implement within a maximum period of three months, and provide clear benefits.

Participants showed strong enthusiasm throughout the activity, as reflected in the discussion session, during which many students actively raised questions. Students were also expected to submit their PKM ideas no later than July 7, 2026, as an initial stage of the mentoring process.

Through this activity, FKG USU hopes to motivate more students to develop innovative and competitive PKM proposals and achieve accomplishments at the national level.
