In an effort to achieve the established Key Performance Indicators (IKU), the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Gathering Event with its collaborative partners and alumni. The festive event was attended by a large number of alumni and representatives from various work partners who have established collaborations with FKG USU to date.

In her opening remarks, the Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA.Subsp.PKOA(K), emphasized the importance of maintaining and strengthening the relationship between the alma mater, its alumni, and work partners.
"Events like this are not merely for networking but are a tangible manifestation of our commitment to continuously strengthen ties with all stakeholders, including alumni and work partners," she stated.

The gathering also served as a platform for FKG USU to introduce various new programs and innovations and future strategic plans aimed at improving the quality of education and services in dentistry. A key focus was enhancing collaboration in research, technological development, and community service.

"We are very grateful for the support provided by alumni and work partners in supporting various academic and research activities at FKG USU. Strong collaboration between universities, industries, and practitioners is the key to achieving mutual success in improving the quality of dental education and healthcare services," added Prof. Budi.

The event also became an opportunity for alumni of FKG USU, who have achieved success in various dental professions, to share their experiences and inspiration. With intensive discussion and networking forums, it is hoped that stronger synergy will be established between alumni, students, and faculty members of FKG USU.

One of the attending alumni, drg. Putri Indah Sari, M.Kes., expressed her appreciation for FKG USU's efforts to build strong relationships with its alumni.
"As an alumnus, I am proud to see FKG USU's progress and innovations. I hope the collaboration between alumni and the alma mater continues to strengthen in realizing our shared vision of improving the quality of dental healthcare in Indonesia," she said.

The work partners present at the event also welcomed FKG USU's steps to strengthen collaborations. They expressed their commitment to continue supporting various programs and initiatives by FKG USU to enhance human resource quality in dentistry and positively contribute to society.

The Gathering Event concluded with a spirit of togetherness and a commitment to maintaining strong collaboration between FKG USU, its alumni, and work partners. With solid collaboration and ongoing support, FKG USU is expected to continue to grow and make significant contributions to the advancement of dentistry in Indonesia.
