The event opened with welcoming remarks from Vice Dean I, drg. Ika Andryas, M.D.Sc., who attended on behalf of the Dean. The training was also enthusiastically attended by Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, UJI Dental staff, and residents from various study programs within FKG USU.

During the training, participants received comprehensive presentations and live demonstrations delivered by Arya Cahya Ramadhan, CTS Product Specialist at Dentsply Sirona Indonesia. The sessions covered:

  1. Intraoral Scanner Application & Live Demo of Primescan AC
  2. Live Demo of Digital Smile Design
  3. Implant Planning & CEREC Guide 3 to Digital Implantology

Through this advanced training, faculty members and Specialist-1 residents at FKG USU are expected to continue adopting the latest technological developments to support increasingly high-quality dental education and clinical services that are responsive to technological advancements.

The activity also provided an opportunity to introduce and optimize the use of various digital facilities and equipment available at UJI Dental FKG USU to support education, research, and clinical services.

This activity further strengthened FKG USU’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through enhancing the competencies of faculty members and residents in utilizing digital technology in dentistry. It also supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through the application of digital technology and innovation in education, research, and clinical services.

Furthermore, the collaboration between FKG USU and PT Dentsply Sirona Indonesia supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and industry in developing competencies and utilizing dental technology. These efforts are expected to contribute to improving the quality of dental and oral healthcare services for the community, in line with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
