The Faculty of Dentistry of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), in collaboration with Pepsodent Indonesia, proudly closed the 2024 National Dental Health Month (BKGN) series of events. For three days, the event successfully provided free oral health services, including consultations through teledentistry, to the broader community to increase understanding of the importance of oral health.
The closing of the BKGN 2024 event was started by the MC, who guided enthusiastically, and was accompanied by interactive games such as Guess the Word and Chemistry Challenge, which enlivened the atmosphere. The closing prayer was read by drg. Tri Arga Simatupang, followed by the Committee Chair Report by Dr. drg. Ahyar Riza, Sp.B.M.M., Subsp. C.O.M. (K). In his report, Dr. Ahyar expressed his deep appreciation to all parties who played a role in the smoothness and success of this event.
Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry of USU, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA, Subsp.PKOA(K), in her speech, emphasized the importance of continuous dental health education and services in the community. “We hope this event will trigger enthusiasm for the community to maintain oral health, because a healthy smile is the beginning of a better quality of life,” she said.
In closing, FKG USU and Pepsodent would like to thank everyone who participated in BKGN 2024. Dental health awareness is hoped to continue to increase, bringing Indonesia to a healthier future full of smiles.
