To commemorate the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held an inter-work unit volleyball tournament. This lively activity was attended by various faculties and work units at USU, including the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) USU, which performed brilliantly.
The tournament began in early August and became an event to strengthen employee relationships in the USU environment. This activity also aims to increase participants' spirit of togetherness and sportsmanship.
FKG USU performed stunningly in their group match. The volleyball team, consisting of USUKG employees, outperformed USU Faculty of Law representatives in a fierce match. With a well-thought-out strategy and solid teamwork, FKG USU dominated the match and secured victory with a satisfying final score.
This victory brought FKG USU to the top of the group standings, showing that they are one of the teams to watch out for in this tournament. The captain of the FKG USU volleyball team expressed his gratitude and pride for this achievement, “We are very proud to be able to achieve this victory. All team members' spirit and hard work paid off with satisfying results. We hope to maintain this performance until the end of the tournament.”
The USU Rector, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the tournament, emphasized the importance of activities like this to strengthen relationships between employees and create a more harmonious working atmosphere. “This tournament is not just about sports, but also togetherness and fighting spirit. Let us uphold sportsmanship and togetherness in every match,” he said.
The volleyball tournament will continue until mid-August, with many interesting matches to look forward to. USU employees from the Faculty of Dentistry and other faculties are ready to give their best to make their respective work units proud. The support and enthusiasm of the USU academic community are expected to motivate the participants to achieve brilliant achievements.
