Medan, March 26, 2024 - The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has once again shown its concern for the welfare of teaching staff, education personnel, hygiene, and security within the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG). As a form of concern, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA. Subsp.PKOA(K) officially handed over food packages to them ahead of Hari Raya today.

The handover ceremony took place in the Dean's room of the USU Faculty of Dentistry. It was attended by teaching staff, education staff, as well as representatives from the cleaning and security team. Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA. Subsp.PKOA(K), said that the initiative to provide food packages was a concrete manifestation of USU's commitment to support the welfare of all campus members, especially in the midst of a difficult economic situation due to the prolonged pandemic.

"We realize that many of us may face economic challenges, especially ahead of this Hari Raya. Therefore, we would like to assist all staff and support personnel of the Faculty to help ease their burden," said Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA. Subsp.PKOA(K).

The food packages consist of staple foods and other daily necessities. This step is expected to provide practical assistance to the recipients, ensuring that they can celebrate Hari Raya with more peace and happiness.

This activity has been carried out for the past few years. This form of care is an effort from USU, especially FKG USU, to help the support staff in the FKG USU environment.

The recipients of the food packages were touched and grateful for the concern shown by the management of the USU FKG. They stated that this assistance was very meaningful for their survival, especially in the midst of difficult economic conditions.

The event to hand over the food packages also became a momentum to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity among all members of FKG USU. The spirit of mutual cooperation and social care is expected to be maintained and become integral to the USU campus culture.

Thus, this step is not only about providing material assistance but also a symbol of a shared commitment to support and strengthen each other in the face of challenges.
