Faculty of Dentistry International Summer Course participants conducted a field trip to Kebun Efi, Siosar, Tanah Karo Regency.
On this field trip, the group was presented with several products from beekeeping and guided directly by the owner of Kebun Efi, Mr. Felix Zulhendri. This activity lasted for two days on 8-9 July 2023. A series of activities were carried out based on Mr. Felix Zulhendri's presentation on Propolis, Acne Soothing Gel, and others, as well as the uses of Kebun Efi's quality products.
In addition, he explains the origin of products such as propolis, which is taken directly from the beehives in Kebun Efi. With a myriad of benefits, the product can help as research material, especially in dentistry, given the theme of the activity, which focuses on the local products from North Sumatra.
The activity was also continued by touring around Kebun Efi, which has amazing views, and several other farms besides bees. Among them are horse farms, goat farms, rabbit farms, turkey farms, and peacock breeding farms.
In the evening, the summer course participants carry out several activities, such as fun games and karaoke, to build a bonding atmosphere with the teaching staff.
