The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, organized an Expert Lecture titled "Orthognathic Surgery: Interrelationship with Orthodontic and Prosthodontic Approach." This event occurred in a hybrid format on Friday, July 29, 2022, in the Nazir Alwi Room at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The event was attended by the Dean of FKG USU, Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA, and Vice Dean I, Dr. drg. Olivia Avriyanti Hanafiah, Sp.BM(K). Also present were Dr. Erliera, Sp.Ort(K) (Head of Orthodontics Program), Dr. Ricca Chairunnisa, Sp.Pros(K) (Head of Prosthodontics Program), Dr. Wandania Farahanny, MDSc., Sp.KG(K) (Head of Conservation Dentistry Program), and Dr. Hendry Rusdy, M.Kes, Sp.BM(K) (Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department). Drg moderated the event. Ahyar Riza, Sp.BM(K) and Drg. Isnandar, Sp.BM(K).
The audience consisted of FKG USU students, including Orthodontic and Prosthodontic Specialty Program students and Co-Ass students from the Orthodontics and Prosthodontics Departments.
The event began with the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by welcome speeches from Dr. Essie Octiara, Dr. Erliera, and Dr. Ricca Chairunnisa. It then continued with a presentation by expert speakers.
The expert speakers for this session were Drg. Seto Adiantoro Sadputranto, Sp.BM(K) and Drg. Abel Tasman Yuza, Sp.BM(K) from Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung and Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung.
This activity represents an implementation of the collaboration between Universitas Padjadjaran and the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
