The activities began at 6:30 a.m. local time with a Campus Clean-Up Movement and flower planting across the gardens of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU). Through this activity, new students were encouraged to work together to create a clean, green, and comfortable campus environment while fostering environmental awareness from the beginning of their journey as members of the FKG USU community.

The activities continued in the Nazir Alwi Room with an introduction to the FKG USU Student Executive Board (BEM), delivered by the Chairperson of BEM FKG USU, Ikhtiar Adzansyah Junanda. New students were also introduced to the various Student Activity Units (UKM) at FKG USU, with presentations delivered by the respective UKM chairpersons.

Beyond becoming familiar with the academic environment, new students were also encouraged to explore various platforms for developing their interests, talents, leadership skills, creativity, and sense of community, which can become an integral part of their educational journey at FKG USU.

The excitement continued toward the end of the 2026 FKG USU PKKMB series, which concluded with a new-student performance competition. A variety of creative, coordinated, and energetic performances brought the faculty-level PKKMB to a lively conclusion.

The PKKMB activities contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through strengthening students’ readiness to pursue higher education. In addition, the values of integrity, equality, inclusivity, leadership, and community contribution promoted throughout the program are also aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
