The Doctoral Program in Dental Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), held a Doctoral Promotion Examination on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the IMT-GT Room, 2nd Floor, USU Rectorate Building.

Promovenda Dewi Kartika completed the examination and officially earned her doctoral degree, adding another doctoral graduate to the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara. This achievement is expected to inspire and motivate the academic community to continue producing outstanding doctoral graduates in the field of dental sciences.
The Doctoral Promotion Examination was opened and chaired by the Vice Rector III of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., who served as the Chair of the Examination. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, USU, Dr. drg. Gema Nazri Yanti, M.Kes.
The examination was supervised by Prof. Dr. drg. Eha Renwi Astuti, M.Kes., Sp.R.K.G., Subsp.Rad.D.(K) from Universitas Airlangga as Promotor, with Prof. drg. Sondang Pintauli, Ph.D., FISDPH., FISPD. serving as Co-Promotor I and Dr. Ir. M. Sabri, M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng. serving as Co-Promotor II.
The examination panel also included Dr. drg. Essie Octiara, Sp.KGA., Subsp.PKOA.(K) as Examiner I; Dr. drg. Pitu Wulandari, S.Psi., Sp.Perio., Subsp.MP.(K) as Examiner II; and Dr. drg. Menik Priaminiarti, Sp.RKG.(K) from Universitas Indonesia as Examiner III.
