Implementing Oral Health Education and Donation Distribution to Orphanages of the Indonesian Islamic Education Foundation. This activity was held to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and World Oral Health Day.

In collaboration with Unilever, BEM FKG USU led a series of activities to raise awareness about the importance of oral health and provide assistance to those in need, especially the residents of the orphanage.

The event began with great enthusiasm, starting with a warm welcome speech by drg. Ranu Putra Amidin, M.KM., Faculty of Dentistry USU lecturer and an experienced dental health practitioner actively involved in social activities. In his speech, drg. Ranu emphasized the importance of maintaining oral health as an integral part of overall health, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Next, the event continued with an oral health education session led by co-ass (Clinical Assistant) students from the Faculty of Dentistry USU. The co-ass students enthusiastically shared information about proper brushing techniques, healthy eating habits for oral health, and the importance of maintaining oral hygiene as a preventive measure against diseases. They also provided practical tips on addressing common issues such as cavities and gum inflammation. The orphanage participants were eager to follow the session, asking questions and engaging in active discussions with the speakers.

The event concluded with an emotional moment when the Chairperson of BEM FKG USU handed over the collected donations to the Indonesian Islamic Education Foundation orphanage representatives. The donations comprised various oral health supplies, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, and mouthwash.

On this occasion, the Chairperson of BEM FKG USU expressed gratitude for the participation and support from all parties involved in this event. He also reiterated BEM FKG USU's commitment to continue contributing to public health efforts, especially in Medan and surrounding regions.

The orphanage recipients greeted the donation with smiles and sincere thanks. They promised to use the assistance well and committed to maintaining their oral health.
