To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) on November 3, 2021, students who are members of the Indonesian Dental Medicine Student Senate Association (PSMKGI) organization from the USU FKG carried out social services. This activity was carried out in five different locations at different times, namely:
October 2, 2021 at Mutiara Mulia Indonesia Orphanage
October 3, 2021 at Rumah Yatim Setia Budi
October 9, 2021 at Madinatuddiniyah Nurul Mustofa Islamic Boarding School
October 10, 2021 at Yayasan Amal Sosial Al Washliyah Johor Orphanage
October 31, 2021 at Pemenang Jiwa Orphanage
On Saturday, October 2, 2021, the first social service activity occurred at the Mutiara Mulia Indonesia Orphanage. The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, opened this activity virtually. In his remarks, he hoped that this social service activity could provide knowledge and benefits to the children at the orphanage.
In this activity, PSMKGI USU students donated staples useful for the needs of the children at the orphanage. This social service also includes counseling on 3M health protocols (Wearing masks, Washing hands, Maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds), how to wash hands properly, and how to brush teeth properly.
