The Cauxys team from the PKM Karsa Cipta scheme won a brilliant achievement through the work “Cauxys: Innovation of Acrylic Resin Particle Suction Tool from Artificial Gigo Based on Multi Dust Censor” at the 36th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) held at Universitas Padjajaran, Bandung. The implementation of PIMNAS was held on November 28-30, 2023, at Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung.
The team was led by Adi Trianta Sembiring (Faculty of Dentistry student), with members Putri Artanti Parinduri (Faculty of Dentistry student), Dendy Andrajaya (Faculty of Dentistry student), M Yavi Rachman (Faculty of Engineering student), and Abdul Ara (Faculty of Vocational Studies student). They were mentored by drg. Kholidina Imanda Harahap, MDSc.
This innovative idea by the Cauxys team creates a device that sucks out acrylic resin particles from denture teeth. The uniqueness of this tool lies in the use of Multi Dust Sensor technology, which can identify and capture acrylic resin particles effectively. This extraordinary achievement was recognized at the non-PIMNAS Competition in the product/work of technological innovation category, where the Cauxys Team won 3rd place. This result results from each team member's hard work, dedication, and high creativity. In addition, the support and guidance from drg. Kholidina Imanda Harahap also played an essential role in their success.
Adi Trianta Sembiring, team leader, expressed his gratitude and pride for the achievements of Team Cauxys. “We are very grateful to have won third place in PIMNAS 36. All team members and our mentors worked hard to create innovative solutions in dentistry and technology. This is a great motivation for us to continue contributing to research and development in the future,” Adi said.
The achievement of the Cauxys Team is not only a pride for the Universitas Sumatera Utara, but also strengthens the image of Indonesian students in innovating and competing at the national level. Hopefully, this success can be an inspiration for other students to continue to create and innovate for the advancement of science and technology in the country.
