MEDAN, July 16, 2026 – The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FKG USU), in collaboration with the Directorate of Learning Digitalization (DITDP) USU, organized a practical Learning Management System (LMS) training workshop for lecturers within the faculty. The event took place at the Nazir Alwi Hall, Faculty of Dentistry USU.

The workshop was attended by the Secretary of the Directorate of Learning Digitalization USU, Ir. Ferry Rahmat Astianta Bukit, S.T., M.T., IPM., along with his team; the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. drg. Ika Andryas, M.Sc.; and the Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Assets, Dr. drg. Ahyar Riza, Sp.B.M.Mf., Subsp.C.O.Mf.

The event officially commenced with opening remarks delivered by Dr. drg. Ika Andryas, M.Sc., followed by remarks from Ir. Ferry Rahmat Astianta Bukit, S.T., M.T., IPM. The interactive training session was facilitated by Ade Maulana, S.Kom., M.T.I., who served as the workshop instructor.

As a continuation of the faculty's previous Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) initiative, this workshop focused on the practical implementation and hands-on use of the Learning Management System (LMS) by lecturers. The program represents a strategic commitment by the Faculty of Dentistry USU to enhance digital teaching competencies and strengthen the implementation of technology-enhanced learning.

This initiative also reflects the faculty's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), by promoting continuous improvement in the quality of education and fostering innovation in digital learning.
