FKGUSU once again held the annual “Alumni Gathering” event at Sinabung Hill, Berastagi, Tanah Karo Regency on December 16 and 17, 2023. This activity is important for strengthening the relationships between alumni and faculty and building stronger networks among dental professionals.
This activity was attended by various FKG USU alumni from various generations, who came from various parts of Indonesia. Sinabung Hill Berastagi was chosen as the ideal location, given its natural beauty and providing an opportunity for participants to enjoy a different atmosphere from the daily routine.
Vice Dean III of Faculty of Dentistry USU, Dr. drg. Pitu Wulandari S.Psi, Sp.Perio, Subsp.PP(K), revealed that this event is part of the faculty's efforts to maintain and improve good relations between alumni and alma mater. “We believe that a good relationship can support the development of the dental profession and science as a whole,” said Dr. Pitu.
In addition, this activity was also attended by the Head of the Dentist Education Study Program (PSPPDG) FKG USU, drg. Nurdiana, Sp.PM expressed her hope that the alumni can continue to contribute to the development of the dental health sector in Indonesia. “We hope that through activities like this, we can continue to inspire and support each other for mutual progress,” added drg. Nurdiana.
This year's FKG USU Alumni Gathering event included not only formal activities, such as seminars and scientific discussions, but also recreational activities and a healthy walk. The participants were invited to participate in these activities to strengthen their social relations.
With a spirit of togetherness and a sense of pride in being part of FKG USU, the alumni hope that this activity will continue to be a tradition that can strengthen their solidarity and encourage the improvement of the quality of dental health services in the country.
