Industrial Service Unit Laboratory (Lab UJI)
FKG-USU Lab UJI was originally a proposed community service program with the title "Dentistry Laboratory Service Business" which was proposed through the Multi-Year DP2M Program of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education. The start of this community service proposal began with a training carried out in collaboration between the USU Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM USU) and DP2M Ditjen Dikti Depdiknas on 18-19 February 2002. This program was approved by DP2M on 21 January 2003, No.UJI /00/02/001 and has been operating since August 2003.
Lab UJI was inaugurated by the Chancellor of USU on May 6, 2004. This unit is engaged in the production of dentistry laboratories, training of technical personnel and case consultation for dentists in Medan in particular and on the island of Sumatra in general.
Lab UJI serves the manufacture of tools, namely:

- Removable dentures
- Fixed dentures
- Maksilo Facial Appliance
- Removable ortho device
- Metal and porcelain inlays/onlays
- Removable space maintainers
- Telescopic work dan tray
